CHAIRMAN’S REPORT 2025
It gives me great pleasure to report on another outstanding year for Trucks at the Track. Following the success of our debut event, we returned for the second year running and I am delighted to say that 2025 surpassed all expectations.
This year, we welcomed more trucks than ever before, which not only created a spectacular showcase for enthusiasts but also attracted an even larger footfall of visitors. The atmosphere across the weekend was electric, with an expanded programme of entertainment for the whole family ensuring that there was something for everyone.
We are especially grateful for the support of Ards and North Down Borough Council , whose partnership helped us extend our reach and cement our event as a key highlight on the local calendar. Their backing has been instrumental in driving visitor numbers and boosting the profile of both our event and the wider community.
A special word of thanks must go to our main sponsor this year, James Muckle and to Balloo Hire for their invaluable equipment sponsorship. Alongside them, we are deeply appreciative of all our other sponsors, whose contributions have been essential in making this show possible.
We also extend our thanks to the 500 Club for the use of their fantastic venue, which once again provided the perfect setting for our event.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our committee, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, and of course the truck owners themselves. The passion and commitment shown by all involved continues to drive our success and I want to extend my thanks to each and every one of you.
Looking ahead, we are excited to build on this momentum. With more interest being shown by participants and supporters, the future of Trucks at the Track looks brighter than ever.
Thank you once again for your continued support. Together, we have made 2025 a huge success and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve in the year to come.

The idea of ‘Trucks at the Track’ was created by a group of members and supporters of Kirkistown who wanted to reach out to the community and to showcase trucks and vintage cars from all over Northern Ireland and further afield, whilst raising money for charity.’
“The first Trucks at the Track event was a massive success with over 1000 people attending what was a family friendly day at Kirkistown ending with a truck run across the beautiful Ards Peninsula, resulting in raising £2,000 for charity and I offer my congratulations and thanks to the organising committee.
This group do incredible work for charity while also increasing tourism opportunities for the area. People came from far and wide this year, and that is something we need to encourage to boost the local economy.”

The first ever truck show at Kirkistown Racing Circuit, on the Ards peninsula, in 2024, was a gamble. Nobody knew if it would work. Would the trucks turn up? Would the spectators turn up? Would they like what they saw? The answers were Yes! Yes! and Yes!
Gareth and his crew put in a massive effort. They were rewarded with a firmly established show at Kirkistown Racing Circuit, which will only get bigger in 2025. Two deserving charities received four figure sums.
As expected, lessons were learned and potential improvements identified. These will be put into play in 2025 to make an even better Trucks At The Track Show on Sunday 15th June.

2024 was the first year of Trucks at the Track. We started out with a small committee with our goal to create a fun family event incorporating our love for motorsport and vehicle shows while raising money for local charities. We would like to thank the 500 motor club for the venue for our show. It exceeded all our expectations! As with all new ventures we faced many challenges along the way as we were relying on sponsorship and our own fundraising events. Moving into 2025 we now have support of local companies and the community to make this year bigger and better. We have something for everyone and fully accessible to all. We learnt a lot from our 1st year which we have took on board and have put our all into making 2025 one to remember. We hope to grow every year and bring a calendar event to the peninsula.
